Opening and verifying an account
Signing up looks roughly the same on every site: real name, date of birth and an identity check before the first withdrawal. Have your identity card and a recent address document ready. Paying from someone else's account always creates problems.
Customer service rarely speaks Dutch here, and the regulator sits outside the loop. Keep the confirmation e-mails of your deposits; they are your only foothold if things go wrong.
Paying from Belgium follows a predictable pattern: you deposit with the Bancontact card or the app, and you withdraw by bank transfer. What you may still know as Payconiq has been Bancontact Pay since March 2026.
Bancontact Pay caps at €1500 per transaction and €2500 per day. Available directly, no waiting; withdrawing takes as a rule one to three banking days, regardless of how fast the operator approves.

What the law imposes
The Belgian legislator approaches player protection more firmly than players tend to expect which feeds straight into your play limit. On any licensed site the weekly limit defaults to €200.
EPIS is the Gaming Commission's central exclusion system: the block covers every licence holder in the country. The request goes through the regulator itself. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; lottery products are the exception at 18. It applies online and on-site.

What players ask us
Check which games count: slots often 100%, table games sometimes 10% or nothing at all. The validity window is often shorter than you expect. The terms usually sit at the bottom of the bonus page.
From 21. The bar rose in September 2024, only the lottery stayed at 18. The check is automatic at licensed sites. The rule applies online and on-site alike.
No. Ruby Vegas holds no Belgian licence and appears on the Gaming Commission's black list. The list is public on gamingcommission.be. The regulator keeps both lists current.
Depositing with Bancontact works; the money comes back through your bank account. Reckon on a minimum of around €5. Keep the confirmation e-mail of every deposit.
